Conducted a 2-day workshop following Hurricane Katrina to assist business owners in planning for future hurricanes. The objective was to have small to mid-size businesses in the parish able to develop their business continuity plans on their own in order to ensure survivability through a similar event. Each participant received a 3-ring binder to assist them in that effort. The course included Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning methodologies, the uses and means to identify core business elements and resources, how to build a strategy and implement it, and tips for getting started.
